We changed our meeting time to 7:30 PM from now on, still on the 3rd Thursday.
January 15, 2015 - Hostess Michele - Author Carla Kelly - Either book: Borrowed Light or Enduring Light or another book by her. There is more than one Carla Kelly, so check for the above titles. (I read Safe Passage.)
February 19 - Hostess Lois - The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin
March 19 - Hostess Jolene - anything by Georgette Heyer
A friend gave me about 20 books by Georgette Heyer that I will bring to the February meeting. You can borrow, read and trade them!
(If you like romance/historical read from this list:

If you like mystery, read from this list:

April 16 - Hostess Bonnie - Swans are Fat Too by Michelle Granas
May 21 - Hostess Jennifer - All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
The setting is France and Germany prior to and during WWII. It has 3 story lines that jump back and forth in time so the easiest way to read it is straight through without too many breaks so you don't lose the thread. That wasn't hard for me to do because the stories are compelling and the writing is beautiful.
Cancelled!!! Jean is serving a mission and not available for book club for several months! (June 18 - Hostess Jean - 80 Days by Matthew Goodman)
July 16 - Hostess Lisa - The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
August 20
September 17 - Hostess Laurie - The Midwife's Revolt by Jodi Daynard
October 15 - Hostess Kristen - "A Higher Call" by Larry Alexander and Adam Makos

Summer Book Club
June 19 we are meeting at Jean's home to discuss We the Living by Ayn Rand. July and August are open if anyone wants to host.
We had a delightful meeting at Michele's last night with guest author (and neighbor) Robin Lee Hatcher! Robin is an inspiring person and it was fascinating to hear of the experiences of her career as an author of 70+ books!
